I know i already commented, but after looking at the setup again, i just don't know how u do it w those powerheads lol. I told myself i would never spend over 200 for flow and nearly gave in until i saw this. I might try attacking my problems in another way.

Thanks johntran216, The power heads are the jbj oceanstrems w/ controller. 850 gph ea and switch every 90 sec.(bought them on sale at marine depot for like 90.00) The main flow in the tank though is the return pump feeding the 2 x 3/4" loc line edutors. My return pump is a OR6500 which is 1700 gph and I figured with the head loss around 1200 gph. I think it's like 900 gph though due to the size of the pvc pipe (3/4). It then feeds the eductors which take the out put and multiplies it by 4x thus generating more flow in the tank. HTH and thanks again for the kind words..

yes, I think it looks much better after you cleaned the back glass. I am thinking to do the same for my tank as well. Could you tell me what did you use to clean the glass? TIA

I think it looks "deeper" with the glass scraped. You have colonies to be proud of, which means that you and your son have water stability to be proud of! Great work it looks terrific!

thanks for sharing

You mention that your led fixtures are 20k when you take theses amazing pictures are you taking them user the 20k spectrum are something closer to the white spectrum? In any case simpley amazing. Shot me a pm when you have some frags.

trueblackpercula, thanks for the compliment. When I snap the pictures from the top down I have to block out the light. I have to use my arm and shade the area or else you wont see anything but the reflection of the leds. I shoot with both sets of lights on so yeah it would be 20k. Shoot me a pm as to what you might be interested in and we can take it from there.

It's beautiful.

The swirling orange monti is quite the piece.

Thanks smtank, I have another area in the back corner where it's statring to do the same thing. I am going to have to move some of the rock work on the left side of my tank soon as the orange cap is starting to shade out my chalices.:headwallblue: I may just hit up one of the lfs and see if I can find a rock about the smae size and shape to replace the one with the chalices on it.

Henry,

Do you happen to know the brand and model of your fixtures? is it 119 1 watt LED per fixture? How long have you been using them?

BTW The tank is beautiful and the colors look great.

Thanks

Hi ganjero, Thank you for the compliment! The fixtures are 119x1 watt leds per unit. They don't have a brand name but they were made in China. They are pretty much the same ones that Evolution Leds used to sell. I had a friend that has an online store order them for me. I will have 2 yrs. on them at the end of April. I tested the par readings when I first got them and then again at the 1 year mark and they were almost identical readings.
