we stayed in Ramrod Key at a place called Looe Key Dive Resort. All of the pics except for the shark pic were at Bahia Honda state park. We just kayaked out to an island and snorkeled around. The sharks in a small cove we kayaked out to in a protected area. that was wonderful...

I think that shark you saw might have been a juvenile lemon shark. Nurse sharks rarely swim and hang out on the bottom. Australians sometimes call sandtiger sharks "grey nurse sharks" but it's not a sandtiger. Lemon sharks are much cooler than boring nurse sharks and less common. Congrats on the picture...

I have seen surse sharks just about every time I have been diving in the keys and thay are always near the bottom. Most of the time I see them swimming through the reef along the bottom.
