A few pictures.

I broke out the new macro lens this week and took a few photos of a couple corals that were put in the tank at home here in the last month or so. Some of them aren't great because I don't have a tripod yet.

Nice pics!

Sorry to tell you this but I think I see red bugs in the first picture. Macros are great for showing off red bugs.

^---The little orange dots/specs are red bugs on his first photo. They may look like polyps to the untrained eyes but those are red bugs.

Interceptor, Bayer insect killer, coral rx, revive... take your pick, lots of threads on red bugs surfing around this forum

Forgot to mention I would just do a interceptor treatment in tank. It's a hassle to remove all corals and worry about them being in the sand or rocks. Remove all inverts and do 3 interceptor treatment. Do a search and you will see a lot of people that have done it before.

Your 4th picture looks like a montipora stellata. Under low light it has green polyps and brownish flesh. Put it under higher light the polyps stay the same but the flesh turn this light blue color. One of my favorite corals of all time. Red bugs aren't that bad. They only affect acro's. If you do an interceptor treatment you might lose some crabs and shrimps. I did a treatment years ago and lost nothing. I did a lower dose but still had the same results. Best of luck.

You dont have enough Red Bugs to warrant treating with interceptor im my opinion.

I had them awhile back what I did is inspect my Acro's daily and if there were any on them I used a turkey baster and blasted them off it takes them awhile to come back with SPS no matter how much you dip or how carefull you are your always going to end up getting red bugs in my opinion.

Nice Acro's by the way good start.

I did some research on here after the quick point out of the red bugs. I happened to have the Bayer because of some Japanese beetles that our tree had last year. Did a one cup marine water to one ML of Bayer dip for 10 minutes and the red bugs are gone. I will keep an eye on them for a while, and then put them back.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and assistance!

great pics... Darryl was right, the green slimer pic with the snails is awesome!

and dont let the red bug thing discourage you, its a relatively easy fix ;)

great peices!
