A little Expensive, but REAL nice Chiller!!!

If it's got nice fans, it'll be dead silent. Imagine that... A dead silent chiller.... Only problems would be that it probably needs high flow, and probably puts out a lot of heat since those peltiers put out tons of heat. O yea, and expensive as crap :p

i think i can make that from a transmission cooler and a couple of PC fans...for like $60!
cool then make me 2...:)

People have taken small refrigerators and coiled tubing inside of them as a DIY chiller.

This actually "appears" plausable. I'm sure someone, somewhere has already tried a transmission cooler.

I wonder what the outcome was.

IMAGEN A CHEAP USED WALL UNIT A/C, INFRONT OF A TRANSMISSION COOLER..

i think that would drop ur temp WAAAYYY down....

Dude those are going to be some HIGH WATTAGE peltiers....

If your talking about the Chiller I posted up it runs at a max of 200watts.

but my idea may work right?
It will work but it will not be cost effective to run a chiller like you are describing. Too much BTUs will be lost in heat trasfer. The idea is to have a very efficient heat transfer to water.

The only problem is heat transfer. You need titanium tubing. Also refrigerator chillers DONT WORK :D
hey o Agios so if i were to coil up some titanium tubing and throw a nice size fan on it i could make a chiller like the one poster for far less ?
