Well it has come time to state the council’s position on posting in our new forum. And believe me when I say this we don’t care to make up a huge list of rules. Frankly we are trusting that our members will be able to conduct themselves in an adult and respectful manner. Everything we post here has the potential to be seen by EVERYONE, both lurkers and members alike. Potential sponsors could be checking out our new forum as we speak. Everything on our CDMAS.org site now points to our new forum.
It is the council’s position that there is no room for foul language, profanity, porn, links to adult sites or offensive avatars. So far we have noticed a few avatars which others could find offensive. A group buy thread started for “NON reef related itemsâ€Â. And also foul language used. All avatars and photos used in a thread should be respectful.
So from here on out the new rules for Avatars are as follows:
NO avatars shall contain threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind.
If your current avatar falls in the above catagory...please change it or we will be forced to delete it.
As for posting…well lets just remember that thi
s is a Reef Related Club forum. Not an online free for all style place. Remember that everything we post here directly affects how others view CDMAS. Lets make the best of this. And not make this a moderators nightmare.
