These picture are probably the worst for comparison, to me they look pretty much the same.

Based on the blue/green silicone, I'm guessing the bottom pict is the regular glass?
the top pic is the low iron glass?

I would definatly hang the light from the cieling... Sunlight Supply 2-Point is what I use and I love it.
As for the stand, contact Joe's Wood Works here in Buffalo. He's currently making my stand and doing an amazing job to say the least.![]()
What ever I do I can not get the overflow profile drastically smaller, therefor slighty smaller overflow foot print, and upgraded to a 4x4x2what changes did you make ?
do they want the old tank back ?
sketch something up and send them a picuture or if you want tell me the dimensions, thickness and i can edit my all ready created sketch for you4x4x2??? 240gal? Nice!!! Also good info about the company! No advertising quite like satisfied customer testimony. I haven't been able to get a quote back from them yet. They want a diagram but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to come up with that. Seems silly if I just want one of their standard (non custom) tanks.
thanks dave, i should have took my time and talked to you but i gone too far now, so i have this:dude pm me on the stand and we can help !
i will put this togethet after work tonight, the front 6ft pane sits inside of the side pane? eurobracing?I just want a standard 180. 6x2x2. They want to know where I want the overflows etc. I'm not computer savy enough to whip up a computer animation.
there will be nothing put under the stand, everthing will be plumbed to the basement, i been at this stand for serveral weeks and now at the point of paintinglooks like a great start ! if you are going to have a sump i would consider removing the two lower braces that go across the botton unless you are going to build a floor on top of that .if you need help covering the stand to make it look awesome please PM me and i can help .
Looking good! I have a good source for inexpensive, custom sized MDF and wood raised panel doors if you need them.
Is your tank designed to be supported only by the perimeter? If not, I might put back in a center support.

The weight of the tank will be distributed along the black plastic edging on the tank. Never hurts though to have the center braces in place.
