Hood rumors of a new store opening up in Nashville somewhere off of Antioch Pike I believe. Its called Barrier Reef Depot. Can't hardly wait!!:fish1:
 
this is what i heard from one of the guys opening up the store today......

"we have been under development for a few months. We are going to open in a couple of weeks. We are doing some clean up and last minute finishing touches. We specialize in LED lighting and Nano tanks; we can provide everything for an experienced hobbyist aswell."

Wish they would have picked a different location, like Hendersonville (maybe a satellite location in the future would be nice, hint, hint) or perhaps in the Bellevue area...instead of ACs backyard...
 
Yeah I think that may hurt them being right by AC. How many LFS went out of bizz. In past 10yrs. Only AC is still around. I wish them luck. I think they can do better in north of nashville or south of hickory hollow mall. Just my 2c.
 
sweet. never been to an LFS in nashville. will do soon. have heard good things about AC. don't really like to drive that far tho. always something going. will look forward to going. let me know when u r gonna check it out pickupman66. may try to hitch a ride. when u gonna go get that monster tank anyway? or u already have? holler back sometime. some people r so stuck up... lol. j.k. hope the unpacking is done and everything has settled down somewhat for you. did u attend the pool party also. i could not make it. enquiring minds want to know.....lol.

Yeah I thought that was him. I called No one picked up or no voice mail. So I email them for some info.
 
Well guys got a email back. And I ask about us haveing a meeting there too. What you guys thinkabout that??
Well this what the email said.

We will be more than happy to have you guys visit our store. As it stands now, the store will not be open to the public for the next few months, but it will be fully open to REEF CLUB MEMBERS. We have designed the store to cater to serious hobbyists and reef clubs, we even have a big screen and a computer for you guys to do presentations etc. As we start to make some money we will add more stuff to make this hobby enjoyable and exciting. I really appreciate your interst and I will keep you updated on our progress.
Please feel free to ask any questions or concerns you guys might have.

So any updates that he sends me I will post it on rc and the club forum. I like how the store will be open to us 1st. And it sounds like a place to hangout with ather reeffers chat away and watch reef DVD. Sound like this is going to be a cool place. Can wait.
 
any news on the store, i have called a couple times and just get an answering machine, i look forward to a new store
just curious what there hours will be
 
I dont think they have any concrete days/hour of operation yet. Originally they were gonna be strictly internet orders but got so much local interest they decided to open the public so they're re-gearing so to speak. I have been to the shop its on the smaller side but very cool. Its setup in an older house.
 
Hi there. Is there any update on this store opening? I am going to nashville tomorrow and was hoping to find a lfs with a decent selection. Thanks, Misty
 
I'm not sure if they'll have anything, I do know they're open, but if you're looking for a good selection, check out the Aquatic Critter.
