A pic of my 75 g today 1 year details.

He doesnt have this pic on his site. If you compare it size wize to a Euro the pump is the same pump as their SP5 , which is on the Eruo RC250, which is for tanks 250+ gallons.

My new skimmer is now in place next to my sump, and everything else is moved and nicely in place, couple fittings yet and this skimmer will be running.

that rug underneath the skimmer looks like a nice one--probably gets pretty wet though-- thanks for the info and pics

How much was the skimmer? I am also debating between a deltec(701) and a more custom skimmer(Geo or Aquatic SYS Designs.) What are the dimms?

wow. I just finished reading all 26 pages!!!:fun5:

This tank is so awesome. It is so far my favorite tank I have seen since starting this hobby! I think what I love about it the most is that you can't see all the equipment in the tank. Makes for a great-looking reef.

now I'm excited to get my 90 restarted, and hopefully as automated as you have it! By the way, I love all your hammers!

It's also always nice to see another local reefer.

Keep up the good work!

p.s.- the litermeter has become my new must-have obsession.;)

We need a latest full tank picture.

That is right! We are insatiable :)

Feel free to throw in some nice closeups as well :)

I will get pics tomorow .
Here is my next design thats in the back of my head, maybe 2 years from now.
The only things I would need to get to upgrade would be the 225g tank, the 90 g sump, and new lights and one Iwaki pump, everything else is already running on my 75g. And cunstuction to place it where my 75g is now and close it in wall.

Is that the typical, people only connect to the skimmer to one overflow? Does this mean you only skim 1/3 of the water that flows through your sump so to speak.

Recirculating skimmers are suppose to be set to have a flow threw them of 1 1/2 to 2 x the tank volume. This skimmer I have is best at 200 -300 gallons flowing threw it. My new tank will be 180g not 225g, I just dont have enough room for that extra 6" space.
I have read its best to have a overflow feeding the skimmer and only the skimmer not split to the sump, too hard to control a steady flow threw the skimmer. So this middle overflow would have a ball valve on it set to maintain about 250g/hour, the other two overflows are the main overflows.

Cool, good to know that type of stuff. I have a very simple setup so far and have not gotten much further into a larger tank setup as of yet.
