A pic of my 75 g today 1 year details.

I visited ThatFishPlace today for the first time. I go to Manheim PA every friday and they are just 8 miles from there. They are huge, I didnt have enough time to spend there , but I bought 2 cleaner shrimp and a star for my nano.
Will go back again when I have a couple hours to spend there on a Friday and pic some corals. They have two really nice reef show tanks set up, now I really want my new tank.
I got a quote by email today on a custom 180g, colored sides and back, external overlfow and drilled for 2 closed loops , starphire front glass, with wood stand that would become part of the wall that encloses it.
All I need now is time and to decide on how I would tear down the 75g while construction goes on for the 180.

Hmm... hurry up... let's go... get it going dude!...

Just kidding... I am sure you will take your time and do us proud like your current tank.

Sometimes it looks that way yea. I say they get tired and out of breath when they swim, then they rest on a rock or coral.

That big tank in the front is 700gal. It's awesome!:eek2:

Thanks , I was wondering how big it was. It is really nice, so is the smaller reef tank that is setup in the saltwater fish area, it has some really nice corals.

New coral additions today.
1 Duncanopsammia
2 Fuzzy mushrooms green/purple
1 Elegance , hope it makes it
1 Free frag of a really nice looking monti cap, dark blue polyps
1 Branching green hammer to replace the wall hammer I lost.

been lurking for months and just started getting things together for my own Salt tank. Hmmm Manheim... friday..... has to be the auction.... I had one of my first jobs there driving cars through the sale block. Correct guess for your travels? Not too much more in that town.

If anybody ever wants a livestock check of TFP before making a long drive, shoot me a pm and I can give you a heads up before a long drive.. I have to drive past almost every other day

We need some new full tank shots...

I setup an Aquapod and got my Eel back. He and the new pod are in the living room where they can be viewed by everyone, even while watching TV. I have wanted a cube for a little while, and since everyone wanted the Eel back, it gave me an oportunity to do something. We sort of didn't have the money, but the Eel was at the LFS for 2 weeks and no one seemed interested in him or the other large Eel they have. He looked to bummed and lonely, he should do better now I'm thinking. I will have to add a fish buddy for him to chase or get smacked in the head by. My fish always seem to smack him the face with there tails, when he is invading there territory, but he doesn't really care about it so just goes anywhere he wants to anyway.

Tobym10,

Two quick questions for you, please:

1. Is that really 100 lbs of LR? It looks like you have a lot of open space, which I like - I would have thought 100 lbs would fill up the tank a lot more.

2. You said your stand is an Oceanic. How about the canopy, is it a custom canopy? If so, how did you build it and make if fit with the stand so well?

It was between 90-100 lbs of Marshall island when I first started the tank, then more pieces of rock were added with corals attached, so i would say at least 100 lbs.

My first canopy was Oceanic, but it was too low for MH and no front doors on it. So I ordered a oak canopy on Ebay unfinished, then i ordered the stain from Oceanics supplier of stain . I stained it myself , not the greatest job, my first stain job, but it came out pretty good, the canopy is excellent I couldnt have wanted it any better and I think it was only a little more then $100.
