That last pic is unbelieveable.
I can't believe how much your corals and anemoe is growing.
I happy just to keep mine stuff looking healthy and yours is like on steroids.

I'm going to incorporate your setup into my 120 as much as I can.

Well done!

This may sound like a dumb question, but can you explain what the T4 and seaswirls do? Is the T4 a pump located within your tank? And do the seaswirls alternate current?

You are correct, the T4 is a pump, an external pump. The seaswairls rotate the flow back and forth from the pump.

Tony--

That anemone is intense! :eek1: I heard that BTAs can get to be 14" across, but I had no idea the tentacles could be so long. Amazing. Can you tell us how long it took for the anemone to get from the size it is in the first full tank shot in your gallery to the size it is now?

The anenome grew pretty good and split once aboutr a year ago. But it was when I added the MH lights that it got really big and stretches out like that. That pretty much happened within a month of the MH lights.

Today I cleaned out my overflow. I removed my stand pipe to clean out the slots in the strainer. The strained i have on my durso stand pipe is about 12" long, it was caked with dirt and calcified stuff , like 1/8"-1/4" thick , it was really getting clogged , glad I cleaned it, maybe it was the cause of my nitrates, and maybe my tank would have overflowed after a while . I have never cleaned the overflow since I started the tank over 2 years ago, lots of yuck at the bottom too.

Today my clowns spawned again too. I have miss timed the hatching of the eggs three times now, I hope I get this one right.. I plan to move the eggs Saturday just before lights out, thats the night they should spawn.

After doing 25g water changes 3xs/week my nitrates have dropped from 44 to somewhere around 3 or 4 . One more 25g change set up to start tonight then it will be back to once a week 10g changes.
I have cleaned everthing in the sump, overflow . Also have a new Geo skimmer that is working so goood I cant stop looking at it.
Hopefully this keeps my nitrates down below 2 . They stayed at 2 or less for the first 1 1/2 years, then went up to 44 . Hopefully I have things corrected, all corals and fish stayed healthy, except my wall hammer lost to slow receed. I also lost one cleaner shrimp and i think my 3 peppermint shrimp.

Very nice, I am fighting my nitrates right now as well. I am doing 3 15g a week right now and brought them down from 40ppm to 20ppm in 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks and I should have them down around 10ppm.

I did mine for 2 weeks as well RJ. At least you have a large bio load to cause your nitrate. Mine isnt as large, although I would like it to be, more fish is good. But I really do not know where mine came from.

I used to love the orange caps till they got too big and really darkened the right side of the tank.
Now I jus thave a 1 inch piece left over there to grow, I will keep it trimmed once it does grow to decent size.

Give us some more pictures... We love the pictures...

I am always trimming my caps here and there every month to keep them from shadowing everything underneath in that area.

I am finally seeing a difference with my water changes, the nitrates are definately below 20ppm now at around 15ppm. The orange color of the test kit is sometimes hard to tell if it is 20ppm or closer to 40ppm. But when you start to see the yellow look more, you can tell your below 20ppm. WEW!... :D

I don't know if I showed you my new Acro Stag, it is in the cap corner area. You can see how I have to keep an eye on those cap's.

It was a dark brown stag with the purple tips at the LFS, probably because it was under 10k lighting. I am not sure what the color is going to end up being in my tank, but you can see it has purple tips which is good. I got that sucker for $35, which I think is a great price for such a nice piece of Acro.

That is a nice acro, im sure it colors up realy nice, I have one acro that has really nice color, I guess I should take close ups of it. The reason I do not do as many pics any more is having my own bus I have no time off, and I really take my time to do pics.
You really do a nice job of keeping the caps trimmed nicley, I made a big mistkeletting them grow uncontrolled, I thought it would be nice to see them really big, then just like that they were tooo big.
