A Pond Grows in Brooklyn

Winter has been rough on the pond.
So, Sunday was a beautiful day, and I took an opportunity to work on the pond.

Here you can see the Lilly pots just below the water level. I did not turn on the pumps, nor did I do any type of water change. Definitely NO feeding. A Mag pump on a one foot shelf to start some water ripple to reduce the green (algae) water. Next week I will do some maintenance on the 2- Dolphin Amp Master 3000 pumps. Take out the UV Sterilizer by Emperor Aquatics 25W.

Awesome!

Btw, my friend really wants to get rid of those red ear sliders. She has them set up in a rubbermaid like container... but she's having some "life problems" and would like them out. Any way you'd be willing to take them as is and put them in the pond when it warms up?

Beautiful day today, I did a 20% water change. The power to the garages, hence the pond is out. So I have to wait to fire up the pumps. :(

New turtle (Red Eared Slider) gift from Stan (Thanks Brosef). Indoors until the outdoor water temp reaches about 70 degrees.
