A Pond Grows in Brooklyn

I did some maintenance on the pumps (2 - Dolphin AmpMaster 3000's.) Cleaned and greased them, connected them but I think something is stuck in the drain or an air leak :(

I'm going to redo the plumbing which connects the Stream and Bottom drains into the leaf trap.

I found my pond thread (ie picture book from ten yrs ago) which actually shows that I built the pond ten years ago!

Here I'm emptying the pond. As you can see I have several pot and even tubs of lillies that are 9 to 10 yrs old. I'm going to propagate them in the next week or so if anyone wants and root or two. I have Light Pink, White, and a darker pink/red lillies. They had fancy names but I forgot them.

Thanks Stan. Ya'll ever wonder where I find the time? Pond took nearly 2 hrs to empty, I put all the fish in a 40g bin while I tried to clean up the bottom of the pond. Brrrrrr that water was cold!

I did find one of the pump connectors cracked, but did not take all the blame as both pumps are not sucking up water...

I removed the primingpot/leaf trap, but nada....

Finally, a crack in the 4" PVC going down into the ground :(

I removed the damaged PVC and decided to redo the plumbing for more effective circulation. It started raining and I have to make a trip to HD. I have to dig down and around the standpipe for the repairs :( Not looking forward to it, but I do like being outside in the warm weather.

Also water temp is now 60 degrees, hence I started feeding the fish (wheat germ based food)
I also released the turtle into the pond (well actually the stream where the water is warmer)
She made her way into the skimmer's leaf trap where she found some refuge.
