A Pond Grows in Brooklyn

I need a turtle tomorrow, anyone see any places were they are small??

Red eared sliders eat meaty food (small fish) when they are young. Mature turtle are more herbivores.

Turtles also need a ramp or island to get out of the pond to bask (dry off) for several hours of the day.

I also forgot the adult turtle tend to snip off the pads of my lillies at the stem for no apparent reason because they don't eat the plant!

Turtles, cool animals but they come with baggage

OMG!!!! The turtle laid at least ten eggs!!!! She dug up a large size hole and buried em in the yard this morning!

Cool stuff, wish they hatch you will see a bunch of baby turtles around. My old turtles lay eggs all the time but none hatch.

So i took Harry's turtle to my pond and last night she laid eggs!!!
The male turtle is MIA and i have no idea how she can lay eggs

Reviewing this thread I see that first bloom last year was June 14, 2011. This year first bloom was May 24, 2012! Almost 3 weeks earlier!

I fragged some of my lilies. Come by and pick up a root or two. I do have my UV ready to place in the pond today. Should be clear in a week or so.

Bought a full grown Lotus plant. In my 15 years of water gardening I've never had any success with the incredible Lotus plant. I've bought multiple roots but all rotted.
This time however while on vacation here in Boca Raton Florida I found this beautiful full grown plant. Now to bring home on the plane......
