Finally... SPS corals
Wow!!... 4 weeks already and I am amazed how simple the KZ method has been so far. The past 2 weeks have flown by so I wasn't able to monitor the water parameters as closely as I would have liked. Anyhow, that will happen over these next couple of days.
With the help of the misses and my trusty laptop, I purchased some SPS corals from Indonesia and have placed them approximately to get a feel before securing. All corals were dipped with CoralRX before entering the tank. The lights have been raised to help acclimatize the corals.

Looking to increase SG/ppt over the next two weeks. Target is 1.025
The Alk is low and will also try to increase. Dosed 40ml Alk and 20ml Ca and this achieved an Alk of 8.0KH (Salifert) around 3 hours after. I will monitor Alk, Ca & Mg daily to fine tune dosing amounts.
Thanks for looking

Hey Ricky, ... here's a picture of the dimensions. There was not much room to work with. The blue circles represent the sizes of the holes in the bottom glass panel. HTH'sVery nice! What are the dimensions of your overflow?
Yep, Acans, Scolys and Clams. I love Acans, especially the Lord Howe ones... since I used to fly them from the island to mainland Australia. Unfortunately they are getting rather expensive nowadays! That's nice! are you planning to have a lot acans? Cuz you gonna have a lot open space to work with.
Thanks, will do!WOW, another perfect example of LESS IS MORE aquascape. Keep up the good work.
Good to hear. No worries that it looks like a pre-school atm as it will be enjoyable watching them grow. I'm hoping to get my hands on some frags soon too from a local reefer. The corals I got arrived the other evening and I picked them up the following morning.Love the "color sticks"... Since I just restarted my tank at the beginning of the year, my tank is full of frags right now that I got from other reefers locally, so now I just have to wait it out 'til my tank actually looks like a reef. Right now it looks like a pre-school for Acros
How long ago did you get the acros? They're looking great so far!
Cheers, less seems to be more nowadays? The aquascape is nice, clean, and minimal. I do love the island too! You mentioned swapping out the lights in the 3 and 6 position. What are you considering?
Thanks Jonathan. Been watching the corals closely the last 2 days plus taking pictures to record their progress. Thinking of moving one or two.Loving it Bro.. The coral placement is going to be awesome for growout... It won't be cramped.. Keep up the great work!
