A Reef In The Sky
Yeah Snaza, heading to Sydney.U coming to Australia? Where?
:lolspin: Well sounds like you have her on your side now. You could do anything with your reef nowAndrew, i showed this thread to my wife.. And she was "omg!" (pause)... "why cant yours look like that!"
.....
Congrats... you will love those dimensions, especially the depth of 30. So many options for aquascaping.:lolspin: 2 funny!
good news i finaly order my tank! i went with the 60*30*20 rimless and external over flow so excited! i wont have it until the second week of nov but that give me time to finalize the project.
im stuck on the return pump...im stuck in between internal and external what do you use?
btw ...love the way you organize for your trip!
I use an internal return pump (Red Dragon 6500) which is great. I went with internal simply because I was limited in space underneath the tank. I have no experience with external return pumps but there are pros and cons for both setups. Just remember heat emitted by an internal return pump can increase water temperature but maybe slightly quieter than an external pump. Basically comes down to what pump you invest in.
Thanks, just trying to keep feeding/dosing instructions as clear as possible. Fingers crossed for when I get back.
Hey Ryan, yeah.... I'll be in Sydney mid week but only for two days. Then off elsewhere. I'll be flat out during that time. Sorry. It'll be great to catch up and visit the fish store west of Sydney, just off the Princess Highway (if it is still there) but it'll have to be next time.if you are in sydney send me a msg and i can show you round.
I might try to get to the one near Warringah mall as I'm on the north shore.
On another note, just in New York at the moment and I managed to meet and spend some time with jbanks (Jonathan) on Sunday. It was a pleasure to meet such a great guy and share ideas and stories about our tanks. Time flew too quickly.
Be sure to check out his thread here in the SPS forum 'Returning to what I love - My new 180 Rimless'. Beautiful setup and corals.
