A Reef Tank in the Desert - +/- 1,400 gallon system

I am happy to see that everything is going well for you Dan. I hope you and your family are having a great summer. When you have time I would love to see some updated full tank shots, and possibly an update of your refugium/seahorse tank? Talk to you soon.

Trying to beat the heat in Sunriver? That's the hot side of Oregon. That's where everybody else in the state goes to catch some heat and sun.

There are a lot of cool little lakes in that area. Lots of bass. Water skiing on Prineville reservoir is a kick in the pants.

We've been having a ton of fun. Clear skies. Lot's of swimming, rafting and spa services. The weather is much cooler than Tucson. It's been in the 80's but at night, down to the 50's. I had to go buy a sweater!

Yesterday we went to Crater Lake. The water was unbelievably blue!

Your tank is amazing.. spent the last hours reading through this thread and now find myself wishing i wasnt finished :)

Thanks for sharing this inspiring build!

really late to the part but just wanted to add that this is the best build thread ever, your tanking is gorgeous - congrats!

Thanks guys!

I appreciate the praise and compliments.

I am not done! I still have lots of things planned!

Dan thanks for the feed back on the Radion Pro.
I know I will hem and haw about this decision until the final hour, and then I will second guess it until the end of time.

It's been 3 months since any pics of the system. His about some FTS?
Come on and lift your skirt up, the boys want to see the goodies.

FTS = full tank shot

Is that a thing or did I just make that up in my sleep.....

:deadhorse1::deadhorse1::deadhorse1: @ His about some FTS. lolololol

I am due for a FTS and an updated video!

A local magazine, Tucson Lifestyle, was out at our house last week shooting a FTS and other pictures of our house and back yard. I will try to get a copy.

Sam should be back in town shortly and I will have him put together another video!

Jordan it is good to hear from you! It's been a long time.

I will try to shoot some updated pics of the Seahorse tank when I get home. I'll have to wait on the main display. I am anxious to see the Seahorse Tank. Before I left town, I removed a ton of Caulerpa!

When is it being published? I looked and do not see it yet.

Crater lake is pretty amazing.

Have you checked out any local micro brews? Bend has some nice local beers. IPA's are my fav. Too many good ones to name.

Dan one really nice set up. I like how your support systems are so robust, IMHO the real reason one DT thrives and others just get by or worse is the planning and effort for all the back room/under the stand lay out that most people never see. Your reef is surely thriving!
I do feel a little bad for you, what with all the requests, yet you are to blame, for you have truly spoiled us. For months my Fridays were made or ruined by your FedEx Friday posts LOL.Thanks for all your updates. Mike
