Steve, you know me well.

I have a few deliveries planned from tomorrow:

1) Neptune Systems - a few probes, calibration solution, extensions
2) Unique Corals - Scott got a couple of beautiful Brains in
3) Live Aquaria - Divers Den had a real nice Branching/Stag Acropora that I liked.
4) Live Aquaria - Live Mysis Shrimp, Red Gracilaria and a pair of Cleaner Wrasses

I also did shopping at Simply Elegant Aquatics today... They special ordered me a bag of live brine shrimp, a barrel of salt... and why I was picking up those items, I ended up walking out with a nice yellow acro, another Crocea Clam, a pretty cool Goniopora coral and some sort of branching short tentacle euphyllia.

I will post some pics tomorrow!

Hi Rob. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the nice compliments!

I can't tell you how much I have invested in my system. To be honest, I really don't know nor do I want to know. I waited to plan this system at a point in my life where the cost would not effect my lifestyle or involvement in other activities, work, vacations or philanthropic projects. I look at my tank as both hobby, work, therapy and relaxation.

If I didn't have such an elaborate system... I'd have the coolest Nano Tank that you ever saw :hmm5:

So it's Friday and it's been a few weeks since the postman rang twice and I received deliveries from Federal Express and UPS.

I made up for it today.

Neptune Systems had the first delivery via UPS.

I decided to order a 2nd ORP probe as I am now running Ozone full time. I also picked up a new Salinity Probe together with several packages of Conductivity Calibration Solution.

What else... an extension cord for one of my flood/Leak Detection Modules.

Finally, they sent me one of their new Control Freak shirts. Yes, with the Apex, I am a control freak!

I need to take some pictures of them in the tank under full lights for everyone. There are both a Rainbow Trachyphyllia and a Christmas Trachy..

From Live Aquaria I ordered a few things.

200 Mysid Shrimp to throw into my refugium and rock tanks. My Seahorses were going absolutely nuts.

Another 6 ounces of Brine Shrimp and a couple orders of Gracilaria Algae to feed my tangs.

My biggest purchase was this 6" Acro from Diver's Den. It is incredibly hairy. It's polyps were extended while it was in my acclimation bucket! I need to shoot some pics of it in the tank.

Alright guys... it's not a great pic, I took it with my iPhone. It shows the 2 Achilles and 1 of the two Moorish Idols that I have in my QT. It's going on 3 weeks and they are all doing well. One of the Achilles has a tiny bit of ich but it doesn't seem to be bothering him or the other fish.

The white specs in the pic are of live brine shrimp. In addition to feeding the fish in my QT 3-4 times per day frozen food soaked in garlic or selcon, I have been putting in live brine or Mysid shrimp as often as I can. I always have Nori or fresh macro algae in the tank for them to eat. I am still running the UV Sterilizer on the QT.

The live brine is great for getting fish to eat. I had my pair of multi-bar angels for about 6 weeks and all they did was pick off the rocks. I fed live brine for 3 days and they went after it, and now they are eating all kinds of frozen foods.

Love the new Acro. Great find.

do you do anything to acclimate acros to your leds? i have had difficulty with acros paling under led.

If the LEDs are dimmible or controllable I usually turn the power down and slowly raise it up about every two weeks until the desired output is reached. If they are not dimmible then I place them in the sand bed and move them up every two to three weeks until you place them at their final resting place. What type of LEDs are you running? I know Dan is getting the new Radions and they they have the coral acclimation program on them to do it for him.

Thanks Dave!

I am finding that feeding the live brine as well as keeping the lights off for a longer period of time is helping things out in my QT's. I am only feeding the live brine once or twice per day. I am still feeding frozen food soaked in vitamins or garlic to fight off infection. I have also been vacuuming the bottom of the glass every other day.

I am going to have Griffin come next week and shoot some macros of all my corals.
