I thought with you looking into it you might want a ball park number on a generator. I was looking for something like natural gas. This way I do not have to worry about running out of gasoline or the gas getting old. The one I look at will do a weekly (or whatever you want) selftest and lite status lights according to the last test. This way when you go to do your weekly maintenance you'll can make it a point to go check the generator.
I'm still hoping to get to this point down the road.
Check out Peter's thread here on reef central. He put in an even nicer generator.

Everything is looking nice ..... interested to know how the ozone is working out, I am thinking of running it on my large setup also....
talking about ozone... How do you size an ozone unit for your skimmer?
Looking forward to see results in pros fixture
Love the aquascaping, I wish I had that much $ to spen on my tanks.
Great job.
Do you thinks that you might be having some form of electrical spike going to that system or within the system?
I don't. Not sure why the fuse keeps blowing. I did drop the unit when I was first hanging it, but it appeared fine. It is plugged into one of my EB-8's on my APEX that is mostly filled with low voltage items...air pumps, power heads, etc. I will plug it into to a direct socket that has its own dedicated circuit and see if that makes a difference.
Your tank is amazing! I've been in this hobby for almost a year now (I know I'm a rookie) and I've learned alot through ur build man! Great work
I'm gald to see the Achilles are doing good. I like the way you've been working with them slowly getting them to accept each other.
Hopefully the smaller idol will do better in his new tank.

Those achilles are amazing looking but that clown isnt too shabby either!!!
Dan,
I have been using the Del Ozonizers for 10+ years and previously had 2 running when I had my FO tank. I think I have changed a fuse maybe once or twice in that time. And that was on the unit on the outside system, after it was exposed to rain.
Switching to the Relay Latched outlet on the EB8 might do the trick.
For the Moorish Idol, have you tried placing it with the other idol doing well. In my experience with them I always found that they play follow the leader well and once you get one eating the rest of the group will follow - I always had them in groups of 3 or 4.
