A Sad Day

I'm in the process of upgraded my whole system.Finally broke down 120 and set up a really nice temporary set up.Everything was going great....
Well I came home today and went to check up on things.
It looked like a total bubble bath.skimmer going completely nuts, overflowing.I couldn't see anything.I unplugged skimmer and main pump, manually removed some foam only to reveal all fish dead.....
I removed all rock to get a better look.what I think happened was my Sea Slug (aka sea terd)got sucked into skimmer pump.I should have known better.
.I did a 50% wc and skimmer is still going nuts.I'll do another wc tomorrow and hopefully get skimmer up and running again.
Oddly all snails, crabs and my shrimp appear unaffected.
Corals don't seem happy but i'm hoping they make it.
Sorry for rambling I'm just really bummed out.
I've had most of these fish for several years.

That is sad indeed. I feel for you man. If its a small volume of water you are dealing with stick to the water changes and you'll be back in business in no time. If its a large volume (salt isn't cheap), a diatom filter with carbon powder and regular powder can take a little weight off your shoulders. Good luck

Wow... sorry to hear. Seems our luck is almost the same.

Carbon changeouts should also help remove the toxins from the death of the hare.

OK,
Everything has cleared and settled down.
I have mix of approx.30 or so small colonies of LPS and SPS corals.
Many of the sps still appear to be in shock but I think they'll rebound.
Being that all fish are gone,what and how often do I feed?

Hey Jim. After an extreme case like that, I would try and feed my corals at least once a day and only twice a week, to be certain no residual effects are still taking place on the corals and as to not foul up the water. I tend to like oyster feast for coral feeding but would be a little worried on there intake (if they will consume it) and go with perhaps cyclopleeze for now then switch after about a week.
