Hey Mark, i pulled the carbon and phos zorb a month ago when i noticed the nutrients bottoming out and algae dying off big time due to the removal of most of the sand. Another reason i don't like BB is it makes the water a lot more 'twitchy' and fast to react to changes in the tanks nutrient balance imo. Just have the skimmer running now days mate.
Most of the acros are slightly 'off' in colors due to me raising potassium from 280 to 450 in three days  This was due to a miscalculation using the apple iphone calculator so that goof is down to those wankers in the apple calculator design section. :hammer:

I like this one i lost mine from being gone for 3 weeks.
Thanks mate, i think it's a tenuis but i think yours might be something different. There's nothing wrong with the colors you're getting on those acros my friend, yours look beautiful
The big tri color colony took several big ones for the team in the form of rocks being glued on top of it so i could mount some lighter acros to break up the dark heavy look of the far left end of the display.

That sucks Dan
Went to Deer Park aquarium to see my mate Dave as i was in the mood to buy myself an acro treat and sitting on the middle acro shelf were three poopy little pale skin branches all different colors......... 'Dave !!!!! i'll take that one, that one and that one please mate......... and that bright green solitaryensis...... and that pale stick looking thing ( A. loisetteae - i nearly wet myself when i spotted that )
I also bought 15 glass fish for a cheap schooling fish but the display was like a slaughterhouse within 15 mins of their addition..........
Two were attacked and ripped to bits by the wrasses, i found Potatohead cleaning the scales and flesh off one, one swam straight up to a RW-15 and was sucked in and three bits blew out the end - even the clowns had a few picks at those bitsand finally the last one was stuck to the return pump after a trip over the falls.
What the hell Dave ?????????????? :spin3:
Looking fantabulous, biggles!!!!
What's your preferred k test kit?
Lol live fish food.
Thanks MattI use the salifert kit mate but that's the only one i've tried so i can't compare it to anything else sorry.
I may have bought a third SSC............:reading: Those bits had absolutely no pink and just light tan colors three weeks ago when i bought the branch so i'm hoping it's going to be much pinker and less green than the other two ones i have. The red cyano is now browning out so it's a goner

There were eight this morning and four when i got home from work.......... well played Dave........ you got old biggles a good one with those joke fish......... :mad2:
Personally i would let it go but Kevin......... well he's after payback........:strooper:
biggles, how do you feed your corals? "¦"¦"¦..there's something magic in your tank :spin2:
I think the secret is koala pee...
What else could it be!?!
Golden koala pee..
It's gotta be..
That little ditty was for you, Andrew![]()
Thanks for that Matt....
Now we all feel dirty and shameful.
At least throw a few sweaty dollar bills at us to make us feel better.....
Hey, all I need is Andrew to package that golden acro food up in a bottle and... 'I'll buy THAT for a dollar!'
Ya let Kevin take care of him and put on video lol
Those acro looks stunning buddy .
That bonsai is hectic hook a brutha up
The only magic going into the water after lights out is skimmate and reef roids![]()
Andrew what's reef roids?
Looks great Andrew! You get that cyano under control now? Sand back in? I love that rusty Acro. I have a soft spot for all the light-skinned Acros too.
Ah, so you are feeding Reef Roids again, I thought I remember you stopping with this tank.
i was speaking in koala rap who is high on gum leaves.
Are you feeding the corals the paste portion of the skimmate or the skimmate water too? The paste portion is probably better stuff than the commercial foods like D&D ReefPaste. :spin2:
Which begs the question: what is the point of running a high performance skimmer if you're placing some of the collected stuff back into the water?
As usual you stole the good acros that were supposed to be headed for English waters... :headwalls:
