i can tell you i created some new expletives when that bloody thing hit the floor mate lol........
Eric from jebao found out last week just how cute an angry aussie is when the pump i waited a bloody month for finally arrived and wasn't even the right one.
I was going to keep it a secret Eric but my mates here will enjoy the tale too much to let it slide......
I ordered a WP-60 which i wanted for the strong NARROW jet it would force all the way to the other end of the 5ft display. After waiting and waiting it became apparent that fishpoop st had sent it via their parcel center on the moon but eventually it turned up and i was like 'ok well at least it's here'
Opened the box to find a RW-20 and that's when old biggles lost it. Fired off an email expressing my slight upset at waiting so long to finally receive a pump i didn't even order and that's when young Eric made the fatal mistake of replying with what is obviously the stock standard reply when they stuff things up. We don't make the WP-60 anymore so we
upgraded your order to an RW-20........
I then explained that sending me a wrong model pump that costs the same as the one i actually wanted isn't an upgrade and why i needed the narrow stream version. I also informed him that i was going to slag him and his company on RC.
Then i get an offer of a $20- coupon which i told Eric to use on himself to go buy a book on sales and marketing but this time i included a link to the journal i was going to slag him on................
Well now there was a sudden change in Eric's approach and suddenly the coupon became a free WP-60 i could use as a spare and he would track one down for me from one of the shops they had supplied them to. I told him to stick the free pump and coupon where the sun don't shine as i was going to remove every one of his products from my display as i had the sh#ts well and truly by now lol.
Turns out jebao has just developed a new LED lighting system that hasn't been released yet and guess what, now he wants to replace my halides with their new lights at no cost also. I was going to tell him i'd rather stick my acros in the microwave but not wanting the next email to include a free microwave oven along with all the other stuff i decided not to. :facepalm:
In the end i told Eric to stop offering me free crap and while he's at it to stop offering people incentives to say nice stuff about their products because we all know they are doing it so no one gives a toss about any positive review when it's been bought and paid for and not to send me another bloody email.
So there you have it, i could have scored a $20- coupon, free WP-60 and all new LED lighting for the peninsula but i chose to decline everything because i'm not a low life scumbag who would lie to my mates just to get free stuff.
Btw Eric, i'll be ordering more stuff down the track and i don't want any bloody discount or other rubbish - just send me what i order and here's a tip, use normal postage rather than waiting for the next space shuttle to carry it into orbit and back prior to getting it to my place buddy otherwise i'm going to fly over to China and beat you with the RW-20...........:fun2:
