A Splash of Color - My SPS Peninsula Reef

I took all the live rock out of the sump first, i'd say there's about 20lb of rock give or take a pound.

Next i had to move all the sump acros and then i netted the fish out - i only have 4 of the anthias out of the six now because i found one dead a day ago out of the blue :(

Everything out of the sump except equipment.

This is where i'm up to, the display is going to be a tad more time consuming i think :spin3:

Things are moving along nicely... exciting times!! :)

Hey Marty, yes everything has gone pretty much as i planned mate :)

Looking good buddy :D

Thanks Scotty, it's a fiddlers paradise !

Looks great bud..where is the video of the build.

Thanks Dan, if i were to provide video commentary it wouldn't be like that mr saltwater guy does - it would be raw and unedited and most of it would be made up ! I'd also require the correct pronunciation of 'Sahin' as he and a few others would likely be mentioned - in a positive way of course........

I have no idea what i'm going to do with the scape until i move the sump and get all that sump LR out of the display. Considering all the delicate branched acros i have sticking out all over the place i didn't damage anything too badly and only smashed the odd tip or twenty lol. A few acros fell off rocks onto the floor mid transfer but the three big towels i had between the tanks to catch water were also there for the expected piece or two coming adrift when my hands were full - been there done this before so i knew it was inevitable given my slack frag gluing practices at times

The peninsula is a big mess but i'm just thankful it's done and nothing went wrong :)

Great progress. That new tank and the proportions look perfect, but unfortunately I think you're already out of space. So when is the next upgrade?

Congrats on having the heavy lifting done so to speak. Glad it went well and everything looks good. I really like the new tanks dimensions. I'm sure the scaping will go well , just don't glue your fingers together. :)

Congrats on the move :D I just went through a move to my bigger tank last weekend and did the same thing as you - laid everything out on the bottom of the tank to figure out later :)

Nice, looks good biggles.
Are you going barebottom on this tank, or did Sahin forget to tell you that the sand goes under the acros :spin1:

Oh here we go again.......... another bloody piece of info you guys kept secret. So it's the bottom number hey, right well now my phos is 0.012 - this might change if Sahin decides to explain his stupid Elos kit properly. :furious:

I knew you'd get that wrong...I also wonder who the real reefkeeper is...You or Kevin. I highly suspect Kevins work is the nicely coloured acros...your work is all the cockups that take place.

Maybe..just maybe next time you'd care to get hold of the instructions and..

Now that looks bloody marvelous...dont worry, the compliment isnt aimed at you; but at Kevin. Obviously he is the amazing reefkeeper here. Your just there to create hurdles along the way and tinker with stuff.

Awesome work Kevin  Look forward to how this tank is going to look, I have no doubt this is going to look amazing (hopefully Biggles doesnt mess anything up).

Well Kevin does have the advantage of being able to use his SCUBA gear to work on the tank...can't blame Biggles for taking advantage of that:)

Been lurking this thread for sometime. I cannot wait to see your new tank once it's fully setup, good work Biggles.

Eh-hmm... how about some pictures please. I know I haven't said much lately. But I've been lurking. I'd love to see how the transition is going.

I haven't been up too much on my end. Just battling gha still. Added a yellow eye kole tang... running gfo... Added more turbo snails. Looking forward to getting back to corals if I can beat the algae beast.

You certainly don't have that issue. Things were looking great so far on your new setup. What pumps did you end up going with on the peninsula?

I'd like to at least request a shot of your favorite view on the new system so far :-)

Well, back to work I go... Keep up the killer reefing biggles 'ol boy.
