I decided to share how I got my BTA and all the epic story that I have to tell with it.
I had my reef set up for about 1.5years at the time and i decided to get a BTA. I looked around and decided the best and cheapest way to get one would be to order it online for a local guy to save on shipping. I paid and he sent the BTA asap. It was set on overnight shipping, but for some unknown reason. UPS was delayed and it came 12 hours late.
Here is the package it came in
I opened it up and it did not look good
. It was completely deflated and I was really mad at waisting 80$. I decided to just give it a try and started acclimating it.
here it is acclimating
After about 20 minutes It began to fulf up its foot and attach to the side of the bucket. I knew the chances of survival would be much higher if ti would attach to the rockwork in my tank
After about 2 hours of acclimating I added him to the tank and it did not look very good
The next day my clown dived in and it still looked bad.
After a week of TLC & frequent feedings, he looked alot better, but still had a way to go.
I kept my water parameters up and after a month he completely recovered
He looked great and was very happy in my tank.
To this day he has lived happily, growing noticably bigger
Here is a more recent picture 3 months after his ordeal. It is a crappy PIC, but still shows his improvement
All in all I am so happy with the recovery my BTA made.
