A Visit to papagimp (Adam)'s Home!

Yesterday, Adam took all of my corals to help get them to recover. I barely have anything left and even fewer things still attached in my tank. It was a sad sight to see them, but lesson learned to NEVER let your bulbs get old. On the bright side, Adam's tank is gorgeous and flourishing. I snapped many pictures and here is what I got.

Adam, feel free to link to these on my photobucket account, save them in yours, etc. I still have the originals, too.

First, let's visit his freshwater tank. I didn't get many pictures because the fish are shy, but they started to come out later. Here is a couple of his discuss and a cool lily pad.

Then, we moved on to the saltwater tank. I enjoyed taking pictures here. Here is his Bangaii Cardinal babies as of last night.

Finally, all the really nice corals.

Here is his Cabbage Leather. Adam, didn't you say you got this from Pamela?

Here is his Candy Cane coral. This is on the Donor List (I think). I need to make sure that I made that list first :eek1:

Here is an awesome T. crocea clam that he picked up the other day.

I was hoping to get a good picture, but I couldn't. Here's a feather duster

This amazing little guy was one of the Donor: Finger Leathers that Dustin Combs gave out to COMAS. It has grown considerably, and the polyp extension is flooring. It looks like a fuzzball!

This is a Green Rhodactis that he got from dugg from Florida. It too is a Donor Coral

There isn't much to say about this except that it is gorgeous. It's a Frogspawn
AdamFrogspawn.jpg

This is the Galaxea that was brought in by Paul Thompson from Extreme Corals that was fragged at the meeting with October Meeting. It looks wonderful

As you can see with this picture, Green Star Polyps come in a variety of colors and shapes. It is quite unique, and these two are just beautiful

Here's some Frilly Mushrooms that are doing great!

Here's a Kenya Tree that he got from the meeting earlier this year at Pamela's house. This was just a small little frag. He may have gotten this one from me, but chances are that it's Paul Thompson's because he brought more Kenya Tree frags than me.

Here are a few really nice Green Button Polyps. Adam, did you donate some of these to the Donor Program many months ago?

This one was just amazing. These guys are full and gorgeous and growing. This was a frag of my Pom Pom Xenia from the meeting at Pamela's house. I'm stunned at how fast it has grown.

Here is another Frogspawn that has some nice colors. It has a bubble in the middle which might be indicating a split of a new head. Congrats!

And finally a really cool Zoanthid rock that he put together. It has some really nice colored Zoanthids on it.

WOW, Travis you rock! thank you so much for that.

yes the cabbage came from pamela
The button polyps in the top pic have not been donated yet,
the aptasia looking ones on the bottom have been donated many times now.
and yes, the candy canes were donated (I think mskohl got em) but I don't think there is an actual donor thread done up yet, but i could be wrong.
The frogspawn has a bubble and 2 mouths, working on a 3rd i believe. And about time too, I've had this guy Longer than any other coral.

I may have dropped the ball on this. Kick me in the rear sometime next week and I think that I can swing making a new thread.

Just like you see in the picture above, those were taken last night. oh wait, you ment the mushrooms, yeah they are looking okay, not as opened up as the ones in the picture above but i did just rearrange alot to fit Travis' stuff in, so i think I made em mad. Before the "arrangement" two of them were about 4-5 inches across and looking great! I'm soooooo pleased with them. Thanks a billion! Oh and you were right, I found that 3rd guy, i don't know how I missed him cause he is probably the largest one you gave me. (boy can they shrivel up and shrink when they want to) Just so everyone knows, the frilly hairy mushrooms in the picture above has a bright green body (hard to tell from that angle) but these new hairy shrooms I just got have a reddish body, but green "hair". :D so sweet!

Cabbage leather! I had one of those when I was in Oklahoma---it grew and grew; nobody had ever mentioned fragging, but I got part of it off and gave it to Jeff at Aquarium Concepts, because it was taking my tank. It lived through his tank disaster, or I gave him another bit of it...and I know he had fragged it once. I wonder if that creature is still making the rounds of the state. We never knew what to call it, but that would describe it.

OU, got 8 of them still swimming strong, and who knows how many eggs in the males mouth again. I am forseeing a much larger batch towards the beginning of December.
