Hi y'all,

It was another wonderful meeting at The Living Reef. I'd like to thank Jerry and his staff for their hospitality. (Jerry's new partner is a very attractive young lady!) They gave us a warm welcome and even fed us BBQ lunch. Their coral and fish selection was great and priced very reasonably. I was really drooling over a rare mauve scroll coral. They also had a super bright yellow zoos. Can't wait to get back there again! Hope everybody had a great time.

Hey,

I too enjoyed going to The Living Reef again. It has been awhile, over a yr. So it was very nice to get to go. I got a few new Corals and a 6 line wrasse and 2 peppermint shrimp. The prices were really good. Thank You Jerry, and your staff too:)

I had a great time looking at all your beautiful corals.

It was good to see and talk to everyone who got to go :)

Here is one of the corals I brought home.

Nice coral Mary. I've got one of the same species...not sure of the scientific name...but it's one of my faves -- or is that favia? favites? :p

Yep, the Living Reef was looking good -- had a nice selection of corals as usual. The BBQ was great, and I appreciated the specials Jerry ran for us. I took advantage and picked up a few Astrea snails for $1 apiece. Also, made a sweet trade with woodywoo for his neon hammer; it's really a beautiful piece.
I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the hammer I got for woodywoo. The pic doesn't really do it justice, but my camera doesn't do a very good job capturing bright fluorescent green. :)
Mary, you can see the LPS I have similar to yours in the lower left corner.

Very Nice Mariner :) I don't have a Hammer yet... That and a bubble is on my wish list in time to come:D and ...etc.. There is never a stopping point it seems...lol That means a BIGGER tank one day.... I'm dreaming..humm

It is alot like it, I just wonder if the color will change any on this one. Did yours start out as a frag? I put mine in a somewhat shaded area as Jerry told me to do. I really like it.

Well, as I said, my camera isn't the best. The ridges on mine are actually very brown/maroon -- just like yours. They look bleached in the pic, but they are not.
Mine was a "rescue" from The Aquaurium Shop. Pete got it in and it was half dead; only had about 10 living polyps. I put it in a shaded area and it has grown polyps back over the dead part and more than doubled in size. There's another half of it on the back side that you can't see in this pic.
Hope yours does well.

Thanks Mariner, I can even see in the pic I took over to the left side it looks lighter. You did a great job bringing that one back to life !!!

Here is the zoo that I got, I think Tomoko got one like this too.

Mark,
The Living Reef is near Gadsden (Rainbow City actually). From I-59 take Alabama Hwy. 77 south into Rainbow City. After you cross over US 411 (Rainbow Drive) TLR is about a 1/2 mile on your left.
You're welcome.
