AA- Anemone Advice

My parents have a FOWLR tank with an anemone, and about 2 weeks ago, their chocolate chip starfish attacked the green BTA and nearly wiped it out. Since then, it has been recovering, but today, i looked at it.. and it looks worse than ever. So, i took it out, and placed it in my 20Long inside a mesh breeder box with a true perc that is in there for hostility reasons. I took it out because the lights and water parameters are better in my tank than in my parents... is there anything i should watch out for? Will it leak anything into my water that will kill my corals if its dying? Should i feed it? Any tips or anything that i should watch out for would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't stress it out by feeding it. It actually takes a lot of energy from the anemone to digest food. I would give it good lighting though. What's on that tank? I wouldn't let a clown bother it right now either. You might want to post this in the anemone forum too.

thanks for the advice puffer... it has actually gotten WAY better in the last day! It has puffed up, and even have about 1 cm tip nubs going out... the clown doesnt seem to be paying it any notice, so i will leave it in there for now. It looks like it will bounce back.. considering its about 5X the size it was in my parents tank when i took it out :D
