Make it stop...
Oh the pain...

The day after Cingular merged with AT&T I dropped them like a ****ed off lion fish. Nothing but billing and customer service problems.

I switched to Nextel and have been pretty happy so far.

We all pay what we can afford. Nextel to date has the highest customer service (IMO) that I have yet to come across for wireless service and that is worth paying a little extra for to me.

Twas just a poke. O)

No need for customer service when nothing breaks. haha :eek1:

come now we all know next hell has its own issues
I have one of those for work and still prefer my verizon phone

Doing. Done. Nextel makes the world go round. Okay, not really but it has the best service and phones. All the top executives have blackberry's and nextel service for a reason. From the job site to the office, they've got it locked. Wow!!! I should try and pitch this add to them.

I had Nextel for 6 years until I got fed up with dropped calls and extra charges each month for service I never used nor asked for. Customer service was a joke. Stated each time I called in that I had a password protected account. Each time I called I told them to remove the password as I never asked for it and they said it was done. NOT. Then went to T-Mobile...more dropped calls and morons for customer service. I now use U.S Cellular and love them. Not one dropped call. Excellent coverage. Customer service is by far the best out of the 3 I have used. Great rates also. I use my cell phone as a home phone also so i need it to be reliable. nextel could not do it nor could T-mobile. U.S. Cellular has my money and will from here forward.

I have a T-Mobile Blackberry from work and it is the worst service I have ever had. I like the look of the phone, but it drops calls and freezes on a nearly daily basis.

All my friends (suckers!!!!) joined in that nextel craze with the 2 way radio stuff. All 6 of them were unhappy since they were overpaying for minutes and most of the times they were trying to be reached people would get the "we are searching for the nextel subscriber" message. I have a friend of a family member that sells diff types of phones and services and he told me that Verizon is the best, coverage and service wise. Followed by T-mobile and then U.S. Cellular.

I've been using Cingular for 3 years w/no problems. Cheapest package available! Only a few dropped calls & I think they were cause of the other phones I was calling. There are a couple of "dead zones" around town though.

G13 ...I have a friend of a family member that sells diff types of phones and services and he told me that Verizon is the best, coverage and service wise. Followed by T-mobile and then U.S. Cellular.

Not even close.

U.S. Cellular is ranked the best in the Chicagoland area.

Well I will stand my ground and say that thus far, U.S. Cellular has met my needs 100%. The reason I tried them was due to an article rating wireless companiesin a business magazine I get at the office. U.S. Cellular was rated number 1 at that time and still is as of Jan. 06. I have had U.S. Cellular for a year next month. Not 1 complaint to date.

:) I do work for U.S. Cellular, but not in retail. USCC is proud to provide the best customer service possible, I see it everyday. I do feel that the only thing the company lacks is to compete with the newest, badest phones out there, but I also understand that they want to make sure that the phones available are the best available.

I dumped Nextel after constant dropped calls.....The best customer service story yet......

Me: "Hi...every single day I drop my calls at the intersection of 355 and 290, can you check your coverage there". (my commute to and from work)
Nextel: "sure, we'll open a ticket and have our network people check that area for coverage issues..here's the ticket number"

5 days later, I get a text message from Nextel Support.

"Please go to the area where your calls are dropping and call us from a land line so that we can further troubleshoot this issue."

yea....There's lots of payphones stuck on the middle of the highway.

The worst part is, Nextel didn't even try nor care. I had been a loyal customer (2 lines) for 3 years. I was flying without a contract at that point, so I had 0 to lose by dropping them and taking my number with me...I called them again, told them I wasn't happy...what are you going to do for me?...and they offered to sell me a new phone, at the exact going rate on their website...oh and I had to renew my contract for 2 years. Buh bye.....
2 weeks later, I dropped them and went to Verizon and have been very happy overall.
