I would just like to take the time to Thank Ed, and Steve @ ABC Aquatics for going out of there way (while they are working on getting the store open) to get me the new 14k bulb I was looking for ( and at a price I could afford) Steve was very polite and informative on what they are setting up and there plans for the near future, I was very impressed as to how well everything is being laid out in the small area they have and the quality of the equipment they are using to set it all up with.

I know I will be anxiously awaiting there opening in the next week or 2, heck 2 mins from my office is awesome not only for me but anyone who lives on the west side of Cleveland, they are also pondering an Eastside location depending on how things go, I am sure from what I saw today and talking with Steve this will be a must to add to our list of awesome stores in the area

what is awsome is your experience in lighting, I always click eveyones little red houses, hmmmm we may need to hook up, as I can wire just about anything on the fly

I wish him the very best of luck. Maybe one day when I'm out for a photography day at the zoo I will stop by there on the way home.

Knowing what I know of the current competition in the region I really wish him the BEST of luck. Especially with this economy, the competition can and will get very ugly. But since he is getting into both SW and the cichlids maybe he stands a better chance.

When is the official date of the grand opening?!?! Maybe I'll swing by on the way home from work.

gary, thanks for the kind words! hope that bulb works well for you.

i am glad to hear that there are people excited for a new store. i am sorry that we do not have an exact opening date as of now, but i can tell you what we still have to do. all the salt water tanks that we will have are drilled and sitting on their stands, just not plummed together. yesterday i built a stand for the freshwater stuff, and all those tanks need a filter box siliconed in. we are moving everything from one side to the other, then we will plumb them together and fill up with water (hopefully this friday, or next monday). we also have 2 large tanks (actually was a 400 gal that we cut in half) for corals, one for sps and the other for lps and softies.

he has big containers of bio balls and lots of the liverock we will sell to cycle the systems quickly, so there will not be a large time needed before fish are there. we have our distributer for drygoods, so that will be there the day we want them to be.

so i guess we should be ready in 2 weeks, but mabye 3 incase we have a few minor setbacks along the way. i promise i will post in here and on our website a few days before we do open.

thanks again for the support and we look foreward to helping the hobbyists in the area with any needs they have.

steve

I'll definitely stop in once you are open. Will you be doing mail/internet orders or just brick and mortar?

So roughly the end of May/beginning of June...awesome! Looking forward to seeing the new shop!

at first i think we will stick to mostly selling out of the store, but we may get into internet selling too. also, if you live kinda far away and it is near or on the way to one of our mantainence accounts, we would be happy to deliver to your door.

like i said, about two weeks and we should be open. hope to be plummed at the end of the week and then cycled with fish by the end of the week, barring any setbacks we may encounter.

hope to see you all around in a few weeks! feel free to visit the website poseted above and email us if you have any questions.

Steve,
The bulb is awsome, I was a little leary about trying a 14k and am now glad I did, I am real anxious to see that 400g tank you guys cut down to 12" high to do sps in and how you took the rest of those tank pieces to make an lps tank also. BTW if you and ED need any help getting set up especially electricly wise let me know, I do work for frags and dry goods

Nanoreef58 Thanks for looking at my site. I actually built it during a show that I wasn't operating just teching. I have alot of fun. How are your soldering skills.

SWEET!!!! Close to AA so when I am laughing, and moaning about their prices I have someplace close to send their customers. :)

If ya'll need a hand I would be more than happy to offer mine. Since I work nights I spend most of my Day looking for something to keep me from aimlessly wandering the streets.

thanks for all the offers, but i think we are pretty much under control at this point. i needed you guys about a month ago cutting the 400 gal tank apart and all that, but at this point we are all set. the room is all set with electric, we just have to plug stuff in.

if you ever need something to do, just stop on in and see what we have once we are open then help spread the word! :-D

thanks for all the support and look foreward to seeing you all in a few weeks!
