I have a 180 with a breeding pair of Clarkis I've had for about 3yrs & they are pretty territoral. My question is could I add a couple of Perculas to my set up or will the Clarkis kill them? My daughters want Nemos lol however I'm not gonna get rid of my clarkis. I've had them for a good amount of time & have become attached to them. I figured I'd ask cuz I don't want the girls to have to watch nemo die.

IMO, the Clarkiis would kill them in a matter of days.

Many years ago I had a 3 stripe damsel in my 75 with a mated pair of Clarkiis, they would never let it out of the corner. I don't want to think about what they would have done to another clown.

I was thinking the c same thing. I just needed proof to show the wife. These are the same 2 Clarkis that ended up killing a bamboo cat shark in less than 24hrs by stressing him the hell out. If I ever put my hands in the tank to move around rocks & what no they pop me. I'm def not getting rid of the clarkis I have a soft spot in my heart for these guys.

My one clarki Is super tame and shy now. Due to the fact he was attacked by a angel coral beauty I had to get rid of.lol

Don't do it. I learned the hard way this past weekend. Long story short, I tried to reintroduce my B&W clown pair into a tank with a pair of tomato clown. The last time around, one of the B&W was chased and he jump out the tank. Luckily I was there. This time around, I wasn't there as both B&W became fish jerky by the time I got back.

There were no aggression shown by the Tomato clown til after the lights came on (which was the time I was out and about)...expensive lesson learned!
