I don't know its scientific name. John tells me that he can get them once a year or a certain time of the year. It resembles a black footed Trochus snail that has a characteristic lean to its shell, but the Teacle's shell is completely symetrical and circular. John's Teacle snails have been rather large in size (but not as big as some Turbo snails.) Both Teacles and black footed Trochus are long living and very good at eating up nuisance algae. Both have a very strong foot and hard to pry off from glass.
