i am curious to. i just got my first few frags of aussie acans today. how often do you feed them? also what?

Most of my acans were baught as full colonies but I also have many frags that are growing fast. I feed Cyclopezze and Reef_roids every 3 days( I don't spot feed).

Hello,

Yesterday, I went to NAFB store and I bought about 700$ of coral. They have very nice coral!

Thank for sharing the information.

Can you take photo's without so much actinic, so you can see their true colors better?

Looks like typical 20k MH lighting with a auto point \shoot camera to me. If we kept most of our corals under so called "true color" we would have ugly yellow/green tanks.

That last piece and that Lobo are amazing!!!

I'm not so sure, Underwaterparadise. I find you actually see more colors when you have a little less blue. I thought the pics were all actinic as well, but apparently not.

Beautiful stuff, regardless. Nice tank.

All new pics are taken with my new Canon Rebel XTI. The Rebel was set to no flash mode and pics were taken on a tripod with timer. Any tips from XTI owners would be great.

Almost Forgot- Sorry it looks so blue but all pics are taken with 400w 20,000k and 4X30w T5 URI bulbs(tank looks much better in person

I have the following question regarding the acan?

How the Acan grow? Do they build their own skeleton?

Do I have to feed them? if yes, what do they eat?

Best Regards!
Chris

Glade you liked NAFB. John is a great guy with good prices. Yes acans will build there own skeleton but slow. Acans do best when glued to a small rock but will fare well in the sand. feed cyclopezze(do not spot feed if you have fish).
