wow, $100 for an Aussie colony? Amazing! Might have to do a road trip.

Let me know when the caravan north is leaving!

about 100$ for Aussi Acan but up to 500$ for Japanese acan at NAFB.

Yes some colonies are 100$ but the colours are not that great. Most of mine are AAA colonies purchased from ReeRaft in Toronto and are much much more $$$.

what do you supplement your tank with? do you have a calcium reactor? or just dose? if so, what do you dose?

I have a small acan collection as well, and want it to be as healthy as possible..

Beautiful collection BTW.. :)

also.. why do you advise against spot feeding if there are fish in the tank? I spot feed my acans every other night or so....

I have 2 stage calcium reactor. I do bi-weekly water changes. Reguarding spot feeding... I have had some fish think the acans are food and had to be removed.

I run 1x 400w MH 20,000k and 4 x 25w T5s and getting good results. I also have seen many tanks with acans under T5s only and are also getting good results. Flow = indirect flow is best.
