Acan placement?

Hi all, once again!
I have this acan frag that I bought from my LFS, and I was wondering what the best place would be to put it in my aquarium? I have a 29 gallon tank, with a 4 bulb t5 that I normally run. Ive attached a picture with my current setup and the frag itself. Also, any other ideas for moving things around and making things pretty are accepted!
Thanks,
Francis

Don't see any picture, but I've always kept my Acans on the sandbed of my 24" deep 90 gallon. I've used 250 Watt MH and now LED and they've grown great in this placement. From my experience, they're a lower light coral.

Apologies! I got ahead of myself xD

How can I tell if they're doing well?

The polyps will inflate and eventually you will see short feeding tentacles come out of the "mouth" sometimes. I couldn't really see much in your pic, but it's not unusual for them to take a little while to acclimate to your tank. Lower light & moderate flow are the best as far as placement.

I have always kept my acans on the sandbed... Lower light with moderate flow... Frequent feeding and they grow fairly fast! One of my favorite corals for sure...

An Acan was my first coral and now I have 3 of them. All nice pieces, all grow quickly with every other day feeding (4 new polyps on the one I've had the longest which has been about a month). You can see all 3 in the picture, the rainbow in the front is what it should look like when happy, with feeders when it senses food or at night. The other two are still acclimating.

Tidal Gardens had a good video on Acan health. I've had them do good in the lower to mid sections of my tank. Mine didn't do well in high flow areas. They did much better when I started to feed them... They're pigs!

I've always judged how mine are doing by making sure they are nice and inflated during the day, you won't see the dark skin that connects them when they are. At night look for feeder tentacles, about an hour or so after lights out. I've usually went by these two things, they won't extend at night if something is going on, but don't worry too much, i have one colony that every now and then for some reason will deflate for about 4-7 days with no feeders at night and then go back to normal the following week like nothing happened.
