Acans and 50/50 pc

Will acans do well under 50/50 pc's? I have a 24g nanaocube dx and was wondering if i could throw some acans in there or if i needed metal halides?

they would probably live but you wont get that great of colors out of them.

Thanks for the info guys i suppose if i do get some ill place them higher in the tank...

Keep an eye out for a purple acan echinata. They love low light, and more than likely you'd be able to keep it's color low in your tank too if you wished.
