Acclimating Clams to light

I have two Croceas and would like to know how much time I need to acclimate them to a stronger Halide. The existing Halide I had them on was a 175W 10K about 30 inches away. Then the ballast blew and they went under about 320W of combined PC's for a week. I have now upgraded to a 250W 14K system with PC's to accent. I have set the clams a little off to the side to acclimate them to the stronger light. They are still about 30 inches underneath the lamp. How much time should I give them until they are centered under the Halide?

I was told when I first got my Croceas to slowly add light over a period of days I would think you wouljd be able to keep them under them at a shorter time and add light over a few days like first day maybe 5 hours and a couple days latter 6 hours untill and keep doing that till your back to normal. I am sure some other people will put there input. Good luck with them guys they are nice...

start your clams out down lower in the tank and slowly move them up over a couple of days to a week. You can also shade them with a few layers of window screening and slowly over a pieriod of a couple days remove one layer at a time.
