Acclimation for aqua-culture SPS

I will be getting a few mini colonies of some aqua-culture sps colonies, what par values would you recommend me to start with in an LED tank? I have a few friends who had theirs turn brown , I am not too sure if it was based on too much light or not enough light. Thanks

They love light but the bigger issue from my experience is pest. QT and dip the @#%! out of them and keep a close eye!
