acclimation

i was wondering if anybody takes the time to acclimate fish. i usaly go for about 4 hours for almost all my fish. and proly 2 hours for inverts. thanks for any info

I do a half hour for fish and about one hour for corals... dependent on species.

One hour here adding a cup of water every 15 minutes. The longer the acclimation the more stress. I have yet to lose a fish knock on wood lol. I use the same method for corals.

Kent, Acclimating them to a basement ocean doesn't count anyways... they just think they finally made it home. :lol:

I do about one hour for my fish, most corals i just toss in, actually, the only one i have ever floated was my clams, never lost any corals this way, ever.

i second Kent with the kerplunk. only if the fish is over 75 beans i acclimate..
