achilles tang

i've had mine for about a year now. eats everything, nori, mysis, formula 1,2, spectrum...

no real trick, just make sure you have excellent water quality, high flow, plenty of swimming room (8 ft long preferred).

New life Spectrum is the secret. You have to ween them off of Nori and to the Spectrum pellets.Could be done in about a week. They love Nori but will die from malnutrition.Everyone that I know that has had success feed exclusively Spectrum pellets.Or atleast a big portion.

that is all i feed my fish anyways but i herd that they are really hard to keep, i will try to get it to eat pellets

Hmm, that's interesting, I've never heard that before, but that could explain some of the success that I've had with both the achilles and regal angel (2.5 years now), since I do feed spectrum every day...

regal...

achilles... (best pic i could get, he constantly swims around the tank at full speed, so its hard for me to get a good pic.)

wow nice fish they look good i have alot of swimming room for him so we will se what happens i will keep you all posted on the results and i will try to get some pics up

i got 1500 gallon return pump and 2 tunze 6100 going on full blast, and i am not sure about high 02 levels? How do you add more 02? thanks

Well, on my large tank, which has had an achillies in it for 2 years, I have a pump on a timer. When it kicks on, it creates a venturi and puts a lot of micro bubbles in the tank.

These fish are normally forund in surcge zones, areas of chaotic water movement and lots of bubbles.

thanks for the help blaze i will try that, what do you think is the best way to get this new fish to eat, it is munchin on the rocks and swimming all over the place, and i put some food in there and it went to it then stop and turned around.

thanks

Mine eats mostly mysis, scallop, and nori. That's interesting about the New Spectrum pellets....I'm definately going to add that to the mix. Thanks for the tip. A question though....there seems to be a few flavors....does the anti -parasite formula provide any benefit ?

Steve I've been told by Pablo Tepot that the Thera A is more nutrition dense with extra garlic. Beautiful achiles you got there.
