ACjr as wavemaker questions

hi,

i was going to buy a redsea wavemaster pro, but then i saw the aquacontroller jr and figured it could do almost the same thing and quite a bit more.

how well does the unit work to create random flow?

i have a tank very similar to a 32gal finnex m tank (false wall with equipment behind it, no seperate sump).

must i keep the main circulation pump on at all times? i'll want to add 2 maxijet 1200's or similar to create a flow, will the acjr allow for switching from one to the other every minute or so?

thanks for the help,

matt

All the AquaControllers have a very versatile wavemaker. You can program each pump independently to run in these modes:

Oscillation - user configurable on/off times
Random - user configurable random on/off times.

You can configure the main return pump turn on/off like the power heads of you desire. I did something similar on my reef tank. Yes, you can configure the maxijet's to alternate back and forth, go in random mode, or just about anything else you desire.
