ACPro will not poll automatically

Have I missed a setting or something? My AC Pro will not automatically update the Aquanotes ~ Tank Database while I have it running on the PC. If I shut the PC down and reboot then open up Aquanotes ~ Tank Database it will be updated with current info. Aquanotes shows current info everywhere else such as Status ~ Reef Tank.

I have Aquanotes set to poll every 5 minutes and I have AC Pro set to log data every 30 minutes. In the Tank Database ~ Config Tab I have it checked to Auto Update Display and Record Data Log.

Can one of the Gurus set me straight please?

You must leave AquaNotes running OR "Run as Service" in order for data to be polled; are you doing that?

There should be a menu option (I think it's under "File" on AquaNotes).

You can also leave AquaNotes running (add to start program group and it will auto-start).

Ken,
I now have Aquanotes automatically starting (In the startup folder) but it is not automatically updating (polling). Under the FILE menu I only have three options Repair Database, Compact Database and Exit. I have also tried it with "Run As" and still doesn't automatically update. If I close Auquanotes and start it again, the most up to date info is there.

What else can I try to do to fix the problem?

You might want to download and install the latest version (available in the support/downloads section on the NeptuneSys web site).

I just downloaded and installed this program. It is the most recent version of Auquanotes Lite. Curt at Neptune systems has not been able to give me an answer that works yet either, I am sooo stumped and slowling getting frusterated. Curt stated that it will only Poll once per hour. The program has options to have it Poll at what ever frequency I set from 1 minute on. So now that is even more confusing considering his response.

It only retrieves the datalogs no more often than once per hour, no matter how frequently it is polling the controller for status, email alarms, etc.

Curt

OK Curt,

I guess I didn't understand that the Aquacontroller will not automatically update Tank Database ~ Conditions while the program is running. I now have the graphs up and they are showing real time info...

Thanks,
David
