Acro worth saving?

Hey everyone,

So I recently went to pick up a few pieces of coral from a local reefer who was tearing down his tank. I picked up what I liked, but he also had 3 frags of acro which were bleached and in terrible shape. But he was giving them away, so I figured why not, might as well see if they'll make it. They've been in my tank now for a few days, and I'm not sure if they're worth saving at this point. See the pics below (sorry for the quality, it's the best shots I could get). What do you all think? Can they be saved? Is the second one already gone? I've seen some polyp extension on the first and third ones (you can see it in the pics), but nothing from the second so far, and it's completely white. Thanks!

I agree second one looks like it may be toast. Just pick it up out of the water and if it smells like an acro it is probably still alive...if it smells like saltwater its probably dead. I would def hang on to pics 1 and 3 and just keep them on the sandbed. You never know what kind of colors they might produce until they get healthy so don't give up!

3 looks good, 2 looks gone, and 1 looks like it's going as well. If 1 gets any worse I would chop off the parts that still look good to save the acro and any acro is worth saving!

Polyps are out pretty well on #1 & #3. I've brought back much worse. If you don't mind a little work, the payoff could be huge. Do you know what caused the bleaching? I also hoped you dipped the corals.

1. and 3. are definately worth saving. I'm mean saving= sitting there in your tank. there's really nothing to lose. the second one looks dead (well really cant tell from the pic but if you said its turned completely white its dead).

Yea, I dipped them all in revive before adding them to my tank.
#2 is probably gone, I haven't seen a single polyp extend yet. But the other two have some extension, and at least seem like they're trying to stay alive. I'll keep an eye on those 2 and hopefully have some nice looking acros in a few months.
