Acronics sps Peninsula

Most of my corals are mari, but don't think I'll ever see that wolverine type. Seems like they send you guys all the great stuff

Beautiful pics and congratulations on the new addition to your family

Thanks Bello. Keep searching, they are becoming more common.

Hockey, the elegans is a moderate to slow grower at this point but still too early to give a straight answer

What is the first one? I know the yellow is wolverine correct?
Where did these come from RR?

The first one is a rare elegans. The yellow is the wolverine "knock off" but its the same coral just not from RR.

I would tell you where they are from but then I would have to kill you..

What I can tell you is that they are indo :)

How is it all going? I couldn't find it in the thread, but what brand of LED are you running?

Hey Kevin. Good seeing you again at fragfest. Hope what you got from me is doing well.

I know you mentioned it but how is that elegans? Sweet piece. Hope the tank is doing well too. Keep us updated.

quick update,

Sophia was born march 27th 2013 at 10:01am 7lbs10oz. She has been consuming most of my spare time... Just now starting to get the tank back on track and coloring sticks back up for the transfer.

New tank ships from Texas on monday! I cant sleep!!! :D

This thread will be put to bed once it gets here :)

Congrats on the new arrival!

Hey, glad to see some action here :) since i am surly not providing any haha.

Sahin, the leds are EverGrow a4's and reefbrite xho.

The tank is being torn down. I had a brutal battle with sg and skimmer overflows, alk swings ect and have lost a few pieces. Just havent had time or willpower to give the tank the attention it needs to bring it back to life 100%. Since I am starting a new set up, i lost that fire to keeps this one nice.

Dont worry Darryl, the elegans is still kickin it ;) one of the sarmentosa branches RTN'd. I am thankful that the three were not yet encrusted together! otherwise, all good.

The custom tank hit a hiccup and was built with a trim. Not what I had planned and after a lengthy stale mate and an unbelievable deal i have decided to go ahead with it in its curent state. Which in all fairness... Is still an awesome tank and will bring me ample joy. Honestly, i wasnt looking forward to the waterline stains anyway.

As is, i have some awesome corals going in this new tank and some exciting stocking plans :)

here is a little teaser pic :) patience pays in spades, so I am told.

Looks great... were you originally hoping for the rimless look and planning on using a suspending light fixture? Either way, looks like an upgrade! Another new baby so to speak...

Thanks Jordan :)

Yes that was the plan. Originally i didnt want a rimless. Then i figured what the hay, lets see what all the fuss is about. I take this as a sign from the reefgods that i wasnt meant to have a rimless tank. Come to think of it, the tank before my 150 was a 162 rimless that was smashed on the floor not 3 feet from the stand.... Yep, definately a sign. This tank is a huge upgrade. No holes, pvc bottom, starfire, external overflow and a larger foot print. Win win for pappa!

Looking forward to the new reef build

Acronic,

I have been a long time lurker on your thread. Congrats on the new addition to your family. I am sure you are a really busy guy right now! I know after my daughter was born, I didn't want to do much more than sleep at every opportunity.

Do you have any updates of the new build or the old one?
