Hi guys, love the thread. Mine is encrusting, I have good pe, and some growth on the tips. But as you can see its brown. I think I need some more light and some more flow. Thoughts?
Not sure if you mean me, but I've had mine 9 weeks. I chose that spot under the brace of the rim of my tank because my lights are very intense. I did not want to shock it.
Been a while... How is everyone's Spathulata coming along?
No pics of mine currently, just received and in QT. Unfortunately it came in quite pale but fuzzy and good structure. should be in Display in coming weeks and hope over time it colors up.
I am about 3 weeks in on this wild colony, I got from the LFS from reading everyone's experiences I thought it was going to brown out for sure.
The LFS was keeping it under Radion LEDs, and it has begun to develop some pretty amazing colors in my tank. Very pleased.
cell phone photo, but I have now had this wild colony for almost a month and the coloration seems to be getting more and more intense. Some of the polyps are blood red. Also great day time polyp extention for a spathulata.
I might need to name this superman spathulata.
