Acrylic Frag Tank - Any builders?

Well, the wife wants me to build my frag tank to frag some of my colonies so I'm not saying no

I can't recall who it was but someone on here mentioned they were handy with acrylic and for pizza and beer would help me build it. I'd happily toss some nice sps frags their way too.

I'm looking to do a 3'x3'x12" acrylic frag tank with a back overflow.

Anyone on here able to do it and make it nice? I'd rather not deal with the DIY special where it looks like crud because it might be possible one day to use it as a display.

Jay, see if you can get ahold of Boostable - he built my sump! Not sure if he is doing anything at all any more though.

Will do. That might be who I talked to. I forgot who but they did mention to just buy the acrylic locally and spend a day doing it. Maybe tonight when the search actually works, I will see if I can find that post.

Its very easy to build your own tank. Mine is 12x 24x 48 made out of 3/8 acrylic its been build for over a year now. Here is a few pic of it empty and running.

I've heard it wasn't tough to do but considering I've never worked with acyrlic, I'd like someone to assist.

It is really easy. All you need is some of the liquid solvent cement for acrylic (approx $15.00 for 12 oz), and clamps to secure the tank. I do not have the clamps but you can buy them at Home Depot for about (a pack of two for $30.00). The acrylic is very easy to cut but generally may be just as cheap if you can find someone that can cut it for you.

I dont know if this is much help, but I have built them before. It is very easy to do, and I would be more than happy to show you.
