My new (bought used) 70 gallon has many scratches on it, some it came with, many I made myself as I had not realized just how easily acrylic scratches! (I've had glass until now) there are alot of tiny scratches that i think were made by the pervious owner using an algae magnet with sand caught in it.
I have heard there is a kind of scratch remover you can use with the water in the tank that is reef-safe and it will not hurt what is in the tank, but if I remember correctly it cost a lot.
I was wondering if any one had some they would be willing to let me use for for free OR i am also willing to pay a fee to use some.
if not then i would like to know if any one would like to do a sort of group buy type thing where me and however many others who would like some pay part of the price...
If not then I guess I will have to try and drain as much of the water as I can and use the scratch remover I have on the exposed acrylic, but I dread such a task as 50+ gallons means a lot of buckets.
