I'm shopping for a new acrylic aquarium, I've looked at Tencor, IPI, Glass Cages and MRC. Any other suggestions, anyone semi-local other than IPI?

thanks

I got my custom acrylic from Ostrom Mfg in Mt. Gilead... Really close to you. They do amazing work with reasonable prices.

I looked all over when I was looking for a setup and they had the best price by far. I got my setup about 5 years ago and it is still going strong looking almost brand new. I have a few minor scratches which was from when I had a DSB in the tank but now have gone BB and everything looks great...

Website is www.ostrommfg.com

Just checked the link website seems to be having a problem... You can google them and get the phone number.

not to jump the thread but are the two links above the same person or different guys. the first link still doesn't work and the second only has phone contact information. I am still looking for help if I get my grants to build my touch tank but if I can get a pro I might be ahead in the long run.

I still have glue on my fingers from those car models when I was a kid LOL

I do not know why the link still doesn't work... definately different companies. Ostrom Mfg, LLC is in Mt. Gilead and does great custom acrylic work. They have a huge warehouse and do all the acrylic tank work for Petlands and Aquarium Adventure believe it or not. But you can design and buy directly from them. I got a custom 120 gallon setup with custom stand and canopy, and even bulkheads for like $500. About the cost of the tank alone at most other places.

Telephone number is 419-946-6887 I believe...

Thanks for all the options, the tank is going to be made by Ostrom. Very friendly staff and convenient as well. What is recommended for an overflow? Drill the back and have two large drains, or go with the internal overflow in the corner?

.

Glad they worked out for you. I had a back center overflow put in. I may go with dual corner overflows and have dual returns and drains if I had to design a tank now... also go with the biggest you can afford. I would purchase from them again if I got a bigger tank.
