my new ocellaris clown is acting kinda funny, it seems to be fantastic throughout the day, swims with the other fish and seems all good. yet at night when the moon lights come on, it spend the whole night, in a corner of the tank, on the surface, basically on its side, it still swimming, its moving like its swimming like normal but stays on its side, on the surface, but then when its under the t5s during the day, all is well..

any ideas?

My wild pair of Black Ocellaris sleeps on the sand and around the rocks where they laid their eggs. My CB pair of Ocellaris swims aimed upwards on the back wall of the tank.

okay cool thanks, i just wondered if it was normal because ive only seen one do it, the same one, every night in the same spot, and have yet to catch the other doing it.. thanks for all the responses

My CB pair of black ocellaris have done this before. Now that they have an anemone, they will actually go into the anemone at night and lie on their sides (they have to jockey for room a little, since the anemone isn't big enough to fit both of them comfortably yet). The first time I saw the male doing this it scared me, because he was simply lying in the anemone, perfectly still--I had to check to make sure he wasn't being eaten!
