Great looking fish and reasonably priced. Are these negatives true?

1. Will eat your snails and hermits
2. Will eat small critters for live rock that might otherwise might grow into something interesting
3. Will bully other fish

Should I or shouldn't I? Thanks

i have one in my 90g for a year now....it doesnt touch the snails or shrimp, or hermits...it scoures the rock for little reef worms, etc...
very active and fun to watch - doesnt bother my other fish either

Never had one eat hermits or the larger ornamental snails. Small pyramidal snails are on the menu. They forage from LR, specifically small crustaceans, but nothing that would grow into something remarkable. Larger ones, and ones that are well established can be tyrants to smaller, peaceful fish, but it depends on the personality of the individual. I'm on my third one. First was great, second was a jerk, and this one is a good size, bought from another hobbyist as it was pestering his other fish. It's been a model citizen in my tank and has not bothered anyone. Just squared off with my two damsels in the first few minutes and now all is well. They are very pretty fish and add a good deal of color and movement. Just be aware of the potential risks, particularly if you have smaller fish.

Add the six-line wrasse last. They will not eat snails, hermits, etc. However they will bully and even kill new additions depending on if they are similar in size to the wrasse. I had one in my old 90 gallon and it took out a False Perc. I think they are beautiful fish, and I will probably add one as a last fish to my 180 gallon.

I have had one for about 9 months now and it donst bother snails, hermits. It also dosnt touch my feather dusters and stuff. It dosnt seem to be aggressive at all.
