Add one more large angel

I am wondering again. I have a 225 gallon 8 foot long lightly populated mixed reef dominated with tangs and reef safe wrasse. My latest addition was a R.S. Regal angel. I originally was going to try a goldflake but he loves aptasia so much I worry about adding him in with the corals I have. I have an asfur and a chyrsurus and the goldflake in other tanks. Smallest is the asfur 4 inches chyrsurus 5 and goldflake 6 inches. Which do u suggest to add into the Regals tank if any ? Maybe the asfur and chyrsurus ? Finding the Regal so healthy/GOOD looking and couldn't resist On a fluke/no pun intended..... I threw a wrench into the angel plan I had going. Thanks to all in advance !

what corals do you have? I QT'd my emperor in a reef, and it ate every single zoanthid in the tank, hundreds, but left some other corals alone. I think all of those angels are risky - I would have guessed the best candidate would be the goldflake. How much do you love your corals?

the corals I had that were "angel safe" were mushrooms, cabbage leathers, gorgonians, Turbinaria, Porites.

Thanks L.D.....I really don't have too many corals. A monti a few zoos until the regal settles in and takes them out. I have mostly softies ....the usual suspects with a few hard corals......no open brains or clams. I have other tanks to move corals into if needed. I am asking for it with the large angels and the thing I am most concerned about is having trouble with large angel compatibility.

I have an emperor, blue face and blue spotted angel together in a 210 - only the blue spot is adult sized. They've been together about a year, emperor 7-8", blueface about 6". So far, they all get along fine. I think you could maybe put three of the four together - chrysurus, goldflake and regal. Asfurs have a reputation for being pretty pugnacious.

I like the gutsy call L.D.! The Asfur does have a bit of an attitude and the Goldflake and Chrysurus are a bit more to my liking. They both are gonna want to be boss and u never know what will happen. My Regal needs a few more weeks to settle in so I have time. I have been talking about adding my Goldflake for a year already. Time to do something.......even if its wrong. Thanks for the suggestions !

I think in a tank that big, if you let the regal settle in a while longer and then add both the chrys and the goldflake at the same time, you should be just fine. You did it in the right order with the smaller, more fragile angel first. I doubt there would be much aggression in that trio.

I just added a juvi regal to my 220 fowlr. The tank already had 5 angels in it;
Blueface, Asfur, Flagfin, Bluespot, & a Coral Beauty. I had no aggression from any of the existing angels. I did place the regal in an isolation box for the first couple of days. The instant I released the regal it went straight into the blueface's cave. To my surprise the blueface did nothing but lay next to the new regal. I don't have any corals except for shrooms so I can't comment on that. In my past experiences I think you would be fine adding those angels together.

Have all those angels and others in my tank, My asfer never bothers anyone, only have had trouble with chrysippus and queen when it come to aggression. usually the trick is to get them to know each other before actually adding a new angel, usually suspend mine in a basket for a week to introduce them.
