Added 2x MP40's should I ditch the CLS?

Last week I added 2 MP40w-ES to my 125 SPS.

Should I ditch the Dart on a CLS?

I like the flow patterns bettern when the dart is of but I worry that I may not have enough flow then..

I was thinking about selling the DART and OM and buying 2 MP10's or 20's for the back wall...

Thoughts?

Why not just have both of them runing.

Trying to save $$$$ the dart is about 150w 24/7


And I could sell the dart and OM and get enough to but 2 MP10's which would be the same flow rate at the dart when they are maxxed out.

I have two MP40 plus the sump returns on my current custom 200 and it's plenty of flow, was also plenty in my stock 150. You should be fine.

I dunno, if you can get enough $ for two MP10s, then you'd get the added value of the nutrient export mode (which works optimally with three, but I'm sure would work well with four).

Actually Nut export mode works well with 2

I would come close to getting enough for 2 MP10;s
It's a 3 month old dart with Baldor motor and the OM has 2" in and 1.5" out.
I figure I would get close to $500 for both.

I run to mp40s on my 125 at full on reefcrest mode and its plenty of flow. I run them synced together so when they are running full speed we are talking over 6000 gph of flow. I think you'll be just fine with those 2.

I am running them anti sync. I think it makes more of a random flow.

I think you got more than enough flow with the 2 mp40's. I was running some other pumps as well and found that it actually interfered with the broader, heavy undertow type currents that the mp40's created. so i think you will save money on power and have as good if not better flow than you got now.

i like alot of flow and run 2 mp40's and 2 mp20's since my 125( 2x2x4) is an sps tank also they love the flow i also have the return pushing flow across the tank . good question when is enough well too much flow is there such a thing ?

Too much flow? YES! LOL i have to turn my 2 mp40's down becuase its blowing my sand all over the place. Gotta love it tho! :spin2:

om my 4x2x2 i run 3 x MP40 and 3xTunze 6045 for directional flow behind rockwork but i want more flow.....
